Yes, we sell very high quality rhinestones that we have tested extensively. When applied correctly they will last the life of the garment. We recommend washing garments inside out if possible and follow regular washing instructions. See Instructions link below.
Iron: setting should be at wool setting or slightly higher, no steam, heat for 45 seconds. Heat Press: Temperature set to 325 degrees, press for 30 seconds, light pressure. We recommend viewing our complete instructions which can be found at the links below.
Yes, we have been able to get over ten uses at times. it will depend on the type of fabric you use it on and how much lint it will pick up. We recommend that you cut the HotFix tape into common size rectangles, when you are done using it just put it on the white backer and store for future use.
Thats going to be dependent on the child. At age 5 most children are able to seep the rhinestones into the templates and lay the hot fix tape. They will need help with the ironing until you feel they are old enough to do it on their own.
The standard templates are made for ss10 / 3mm size rhinestones. Custom templates may be made for different size rhinestones.
95% of our customers prefer the Sweeping Pad over the brush. The brush is larger, faster, and rarely knocks a shiny side up rhinestone out of it's hole.
Yes, always use a pressing sheet or something between the iron and the rhinestones. We recommend a teflon pressing sheet, it's thin and lets the heat through easily and nothing sticks to it not even the rhinestones. The pressing sheets are available in our accessories category.
Almost any fabric, we have applied tocotton, cotton polyester blends, lycra, spandex, velvet, felt, and many more. If you are unsure do a test in an inconspicuous spot or a scrap piece of fabric.
Virtually almost anything, If you can heat the object you can apply the rhinestones to it. Common materials are paper, cardstock, anything that has a fabric layer, some people apply a fabric to the object and then apply the rhinestones. Unique items that can be done with patience, skill, and practice are glass, plastic, and leather. Let your imagination run wild and remember to test first.
